Deal Alert: Pick up 50,000 Airline Miles for just $89 with the US Airways MasterCard

If you’re looking for a great way to earn some valuable frequent flyer miles or are on the fence about applying for a credit card to earn points, here’s my top recommendation of a step to take within the next few days. In my view it’s the best deal out there, but it will be gone in a few days so act fast.

The US Airways Premier World MasterCard by Barclays is offering what I believe to be the best current credit card bonus out there. That’s because there is no spending requirement. You need to only make a single purchase and then pay the $89 yearly fee. That’s it.

And the bonus? Pretty darn good: 50,000 US Airways miles.

What makes this an even better deal, is that US Airways and American Airlines are merging and will continue to merge parts of their frequent flyer programs in pieces. That means that this card won’t exist in another few days.

But applications for this card will stop very soon. Rumor has it the end date for applying for this card may even be this week! After that the card will become a different version, but there will no longer be any US Airways cards. So this is your last chance to grab US Air miles with this specific card.

“But if US Airways is merging with American, won’t that make US Air miles worthless?” you may ask. Fear not, all US Air miles in your account will transfer at a 1:1 ratio into your American Airlines account.

That means that in essence for $89 you’re getting 50,000 American miles, quite possibly the most consistently stable and valuable airline miles out there.

This is one of the best deals out there right now, specifically because there is no spending requirement. Just make sure you have a US Airways frequent flyer account and an American Airlines frequent flyer account (both free to open).

Apply for the US Airways MasterCard today and give yourself a nice earnings boost on some vacation travel this summer.

I grabbed this card a couple of months back to give a nice boost to my AA account. Have you picked up this card or are you thinking about it?
